Abstract:
In order to improve the comfortableness of information cognition and safety at long tunnel exit on expressway, real vehicle experiment in actual tunnel environments were carried out to study visual features of drivers. Taking 200 m inside tunnel to 200 m outside tunnel as the exit section of the tunnel, eye tracking system was used to record the visual feature parameters in driving process. BP neural network technology was applicated to simulate variation of visual feature parameters, and the models of fixation time, number of fixation and saccade amplitude were established. The results show that from the time of driver finding the tunnel exit, the fixation time and number of fixation gradually decrease with the gradual approaching the tunnel exit, and saccade amplitude gradually increase. After leaving exit, the fixation time slightly increase and number of fixation augment. Although magnitude of variation is little, saccade amplitude is greater than inside the tunnel. 5 tabs, 3 figs, 9 refs.
