Abstract:
The microstructure characteristics of secondary recycled pavement materials after cement stabilizing were observed by SEM(scanning electron microscope). Those material properties after being long-term used and secondary recycled were analyzed, their unconfined compressive strength, splitting strength and modulus were tested, and the frost resistance, water stability and anti-erosion resistance were also examined. As the result, the CBR value and aggregate crush value were put forward to evaluate the secondary recycling, the strength of secondary recycling materials is lower than ordinary base materials stabilized by cement because the existence of asphalt components. And the temperature exerts an obviously influence on the compressive strength. The results also indicated that the strength and pavement performance of cement secondary recycling materials can meet the requirements for base and subbase in asphalt pavement. 9 tabs, 4 figs, 8 refs.
