Abstract:
Taking the aeolian sands from Maowusu desert along Shanxi-Inner Mongolia highway as the researched object, this paper analyzes its pellet forms and main characteristics, as well as the method of confirming the biggest dry density. According to the heavy compacting experiment, this paper draws the compacted curve, and receives that the aeolian sands have two compact conditions, dry and wet. In the laboratory and field research, impaction-vibration roller model is used, the compacting features and the compacting mechanism in the impaction-vibration situation are researched. The results show that the moisture content on aeolian sands have little effect on compacting, the impaction-vibration roller has better compacting results than a single vibration and shock roller. 4 tabs, 7 figs, 10 refs.
