Abstract:
From the system perspective to discuss the road safety, the operation mechanism of the system is analyzed and the 5-factor theory of road traffic safety is put forward, then the hierarchical structure of traffic safety management is clarified. The related concepts of system engineering are quoted, such as oriented graph, adjacency matrix, linear programming model and so on, the coupling mechanism among the elements and the system target are also further discussed. With the quoting concept of thermodynamic entropy, the stability of the road traffic system is studied. Analysis shows that: road traffic system is a dynamic and open system which consist of traffic participants, vehicles, roads, traffic environment and safety management, the security of the system is determined by the safety level of individual element as well as the multi-factor coupling quality; safety management is the core element of the system, it determines the operation rules and quality of the system; the negative entropy flows(safety management measures and technical means)must constantly be input into the system so as to keep its dynamic stability. 4 figs, 9 refs.
