Abstract:
Taking Kaoyishan tunnel at Shaoguan section of Beijing—Zhuhai freeway as an example, this paper divided the tunnel into seven parts, set detectors in the different parts in order to collect the vehicles speed, used the statistical and contrastive analysis to study the speed changing characteristics of the little cars and big vehicles passing through different parts, such as the front of entrance, the entrance, the transition, the middle section and the export of freeway tunnel. According to the relation between the speed difference and the accident rate, this paper analyzed the safety of freeway tunnel. The results show that the speed changing range of little cars is bigger than the one of big vehicles; the accident rate is highest in the entrance and middle section. The traffic safety strategies based on speed control in freeway tunnel are present. 6 figs, 10 refs.
