Abstract:
This paper studied the influence of fuel supply system parameters on the performance of a light duty direct injection diesel engine fueled with L30 blended fuel on a engine test bed. The result indicated that the fuel supply advance angle optimized according to the maximum heat efficiency of L30 blended fuel, in which the mass ratio of LPG is 30%(L30), is larger than that of diesel fuel. With the increase of the fuel supply advance angle, the NOx emissions increase, and the CO and HC emissions are the lowest at 22°~24°. When the injection pressure of nozzle was 20~22 MPa, the heat efficiency of L30 blended fuel engine is the highest and so is the NOx emission concentration, the HC emission is lower, and the CO emission keeps almost constant. The engine fueled with L30 blended fuel can achieve the optimum performance by increasing fuel supply advance angle and injection pressure. 1 tab, 2 figs, 10 refs.
