- Abstract:
- To study the effect of DBDPE composite flame retardant on the performance of SBS modified asphalt, the flame retardant and smoke suppression properties, physical properties and rheological properties of SBS modified asphalt with different flame retardant content were analyzed, based on the limit oxygen index test, smoke density test, penetration test, ductility test, softening point test, dynamic shear rheology test and bending beam rheology test. The results show that DBDPE composite flame retardant has a significant effect on the performance of SBS modified asphalt. DBDPE composite flame retardant significantly improves the flame retardant property. With the increase of the content of DBDPE composite flame retardant, limit oxygen index(LOI) of SBS modified flame retardant asphalt increases gradually, but its smoke density grade decreases gradually. When the content of flame retardant is more than 8%, LOI is more than 24%, the smoke density grade decreases less, and the improvement of the flame retardant and smoke suppression properties is limited. With the increase of the content of DBDPE composite flame retardant, the penetration and ductility of SBS modified flame retardant asphalt decrease, but the softening point increases gradually. When the content of flame retardant is less than 12%, the ductility is more than 20 cm, and when the content of flame retardant is more than 12%, the softening point increases less. The high temperature deformation resistance of DBDPE composite flame retardant asphalt is significantly improved. With the increase of the content of DBDPE composite flame retardant, the rutting factor and creep recovery rate of SBS modified flame retardant asphalt increase gradually. When the content of flame retardant is more than 8%, the rutting factor and creep recovery rate increase less. The low temperature crack resistance of DBDPE composite flame retardant asphalt gradually decreases. With the increase of the content of DBDPE composite flame retardant, the creep stiffness modulus of SBS modified flame retardant asphalt increases gradually, and the creep rate decreases gradually. When the content of flame retardant is more than 12%, the creep stiffness modulus and creep rate of it change little. Considering the effects of BDDPE composite flame retardant on the flame retardant performance, smoke suppression performance, high and low temperature rheological properties of SBS modified asphalt, it can be seen that the technical performance is better when the content of DBDPE composite flame retardant is 8% to 12%. 4 tabs, 18 figs, 27 refs.
