Abstract:
In order to explore the characterization method of adhesion performance of warm mix asphalt under UV aging condition, the strength increasing electric mixer was used to prepare the modified asphalt with the base asphalt and the warm mix agent of Evotherm as raw materials. According to the theory of surface free energy, the macro adhesion performance indexes (adhesion work and peeling work) of the modified asphalt under UV aging condition were calculated by atomic force microscopy. The microscopic parameters (nano adhesion, bee area ratio, surface roughness) of Evotherm warm mix modified asphalt under UV aging were obtained by AFM test. The effects of UV aging time (0, 50, 100, 150, 200 h) and aging mode (oxygen separation, photo oxygen coupling) on the microscopic parameters and macroscopic adhesion performance were analyzed, and the linear regression analysis was carried out. The results show that the adhesion work between Evotherm warm mix modified asphalt and limestone decreases and the peeling work increases gradually after UV aging. After UV aging for 150 h, the adhesion work and peeling work of Evotherm warm mix modified asphalt tend to be stable, and the adhesion performance under aerobic condition is worse than that under oxygen isolation condition. When the UV aging time is 0 to 150 h, the apparent adhesion, bee area ratio and surface roughness of warm mix asphalt decrease obviously, and when the aging time is extended to 200 h, it tends to balance gradually and lose the properties of asphalt. The adhesion work and peeling work after UV aging of warm mix asphalt obtained by surface energy theory have good correlation with the nano adhesion, bee area ratio and surface roughness obtained by AFM test, and the correlation between the micro parameters and adhesion energy index of warm mix asphalts, under the two UV aging conditions of oxygen isolation and photo oxygen coupling is basically the same. 〖JP2〗It is suggested that nano adhesion, bee area ratio and surface roughness should be used to characterize the adhesion of warm asphalt during UV aging. 3 tabs, 11 figs, 29 refs.
