Abstract:
The relative elevation, slope and fragmentation degrees of earth's surface were put forward as the main classification factors of highway topographic based on the study of geography topographic classification and the characteristics of highway. According to the principles and methods of index system establishing, tectonic, slope and relative elevation were selected as the leading index of first-order regionalization, the external geological action, difficulty index and cutting density of earth's surface were chosen as the leading index of second-order regionalization, the elevaion was chosen as the auxiliary index of both first-order and second-order regionalization. Based on those works, the index system of landform regionalization of highway in China was developed. In the system China was divided into 5 first-order landform districts by GIS. The characteristics of the dividing districs have a good agreement with Chinese environment. 3 tabs, 1 fig, 14 refs.
