Abstract:
In order to simulate the rutting resistance of terminal blend crumb rubber modified asphalt (TB asphalt) and its composite modified asphalt mixture under high temperature and rainy conditions, the high temperature performance of TB+linear SBS, TB+rock asphalt, TB+linear SBS+rock asphalt and TB+linear SBS+polyphosphate (PPA) asphalt mixture with different dosage of crumb rubber and modifier were analyzed by Hamburg wheel tracking test (HWTD), under the combined action of water and heat. And HWTD rutting test curve, high temperature performance evaluation index (creep resistance rate, deformation rate) were analyzed. The results show that the high temperature performance of TB asphalt mixture under the combined condition of water and heat is impaired with the increase of crumb rubber content, while the addition of SBS and rock asphalt will completely change this trend. When the content of crumb rubber is 10% to 20% (mass fraction, the same as below), the content of SBS is 1% to 3%, and the content of rock asphalt is 2% to 8%, in general the hightemperature performance of TB+ rock asphalt, TB+ linear SBS asphalt mixture is improved with the increase of the content of crumb rubber, rock asphalt and SBS, besides the high temperature performance of 20%TB+3% linear SBS and 20%TB+8% rock asphalt is better than that of 4.5% SBS modified asphalt mixture. Rock asphalt and PPA can both promote the high temperature performance of 10%TB+3% linear SBS modified asphalt mixture under the condition of water and heat, and the improvement effect of PPA is more obvious, the improvement effect of 0.4% PPA is better than that of 4% rock asphalt. The rutting resistance performance of 10% TB+3% linear SBS+0.4% 〖JP2〗PPA composite modified asphalt mixture is 356.1% higher than that of 10% TB asphalt, consequently TB+ linear SBS+PPA modification scheme is recommended. 3 tabs, 7 figs, 30 refs.
