Abstract:
To investigate the influence of the length of transition section change in the construction barrier section on the driving behaviour of drivers, eight simulation scenarios were designed by using a driving simulation platform with four transition section lengths(110, 100, 90 and 80 m)under two different driving states(designated lane and free lane change), 40 drivers were recruited and fine-grained driving behaviour data, eye movement data and psychological data were obtained. The evaluation index system was constructed by choosing 7 indicators, including eye movement frequency, average pupil diameter, steering wheel reversal rate, heart rate variability rate, etc., and the fuzzy comprehensive evaluation model based on entropy weight method was constructed. The results show that under the same transition environment and speed limit conditions, the driving stability is better under the designated lane driving conditions. No matter under the designated lane or free lane change conditions, the transition section length scores the highest when it is 80 m long and the lowest when it is 110 m long. The road section changes within 2 m, the construction barrier transition section length can realize smooth driving by choosing a smaller value. The use of driving simulation experiments to obtain data for driving behavior analysis provides an economical, safe and reliable method.5 tabs, 11 figs, 24 refs.
