Abstract:
Existing queuing theory based researches of hub taxi off-site system are mostly for single-desk issue, where is a wide gap with the actual situation. In order to solve this problem, we first abstracted the system into an asynchronous single vacation M/M/C(ASV) queuing system, and got the steady state indicators of system under the condition of all busy service desk; then we created a bi-layer service-desk number optimization model for hub taxi off-site queuing system considering the level of service, and wrote the computer program based on Matlab software; finally we gave a numerical example, and did comparative analysis of results of optimization, simulation and actual situation. It shows that the optimization model is feasible, and also effective in full consideration of level of service.
