Abstract:
Based on the vehicle investigating results on several sections for one week, with the statistical parameters and distribution characteristics of vehicle types and their corresponding weights, vehicle headway, wheelbase and axle load, combined with wheelbase from automobile manufacturers and measured wheelbase, the statistical parameters of the wheelbase and the ratio of axle load distribution were provided. Based on the above statistical parameters in combination with Monte Carlo method, the Matlab language was used to compile the random traffic simulation program and a loading program on influence line. With the two programs the maximum load effect in n days of an actual bridge was obtained under the random traffic flow, and the samples were statistically analyzed to obtain actual load effects of the statistical parameters and compared with the current normative standards value. The results show that the load effect based on the investigation of vehicle load under random traffic flow is quite different from that of standard value. The load effect of the Guangshen expressway is 3 times of the highway-Ι level standard value while Hebei and Jiangxi toll gate load effect is from 1.6 to 2.0 times, and Shengang bridge load effect is the same. The current standard load and the actual vehicle load are not consistent to certain extent. The results have a reference value for the new amendments to the design standards for highway engineering. 5 tabs, 28 figs, 11 refs.
