Abstract:
In order to study the collision of vehicle on bridge, the static and dynamic tests of reinforced concrete pier model under lateral impact loading were conducted by falling-weight impact equipment, and the dynamic analysis models were set up. The tests show that the failure mode of pier is related to the impact force and the dynamic mechanical properties of materials. The results show that the impact force calculated by dynamic equations about single-degree-of-freedom and two-degree-of-freedom models under one-dimensional conditions based on the D'Alembert principle are coincided to tests probably, the errors of peak and average are -15.4% and 14.5%. 5 tabs, 7 figs, 12 refs.
