Abstract:
For the disadvantage in modeling of multi-pilot-cavity tunnels, an advancing-frontal triangulation method was applied in building numerical model of FLAC3D software. The suitable datum structure and algorithm based on Fish programming language was studied. The position criterion of adjacent lines to current line was brought to improve the efficiency of the algorithm, the equilateral triangle or isosceles triangle mesh was generated to improve elements' quality, the element size was controlled by simple mathematics means and a smooth graded triangular mesh was constructed. Through the research, the first independent FLAC3D preprocess was developed successfully without relying on other modeling software. An example of simulation procedures and results were presented, which proves that the method is reasonable and effective. 3 tabs, 9 figs, 11 refs.
