Abstract:
The composition of warm mix asphalt(WMA)was designed by the Marshall test, its pavement performance was evaluated based on results of rutting test, immersion Marshall test, bending test and fatigue test. The research result shows that: the content of modifier have great effects on the asphalt performance, and the optimum modifier content is 2.5%~3.0%; the high temperature stability, water stability, low-temperature crack resistance and fatigue property of WMA are excellent; and the high temperature stability and fatigue property of WMA are improved by the modifier, and the water stability and low-temperature crack resistance of WMA are decreased by the modifier appreciably. 7 tabs, 5 figs, 15 refs.
