Abstract:
By using stationary wave method to test sound absorption coefficient of draining asphalt pavement, the sound absorption rule of draining asphalt pavement with different porosities, grain sizes and thicknesses is researched. Combining the noise testing result of experimental road, the denoising performance of draining asphalt pavement is evaluated. The test results show that: the draining asphalt pavement can absorb the road noise effectively,which has a lot of connected porosities, and whose average and peak of sound absorption moves toward to low frequency when the thickness is increased, and the sound-absorbing performance is better while using smaller size nominal maximum size of aggregate. The average and peak of sound absorption coefficient of OGFC-13 are 0.402 and 0.669 respectively, when porosity is 20%, thickness is 40 mm; Comparing with the common AC-13C asphalt pavement, the noise intensity of experimental road is reduced by 4.7 dB(A)while tested in high-speed traffic. So, the denoising performance of draining asphalt pavement is excellent. 4 tabs, 5 figs, 13 refs.
