Abstract:
According to the characteristics that admixtures of sodium carbonate and sodium sulfate can promote early stage strength formation of lime-fly-ash mixture, the reaction principles and differences for this process are explained with chemical reaction theory. The results of theoretical analysis consider that the condition of fly-ash can be excited and its stabilized composition structure can be depolymerized with alkalinity released by admixtures in different ways to form early stage strength. Meanwhile, the reaction between admixtures and lime-fly-ash mixture produce calcium carbonate and ettringite respectively which have higher water stability to promote strength development. Furthermore, the analysis quantitatively shows that the admixtures can also increase the mixture early strength more effectively through catalytic action. 3 tabs, 6 refs.
