Abstract:
In order to have a quantitative analysis on the overload threshold of the traffic sign information, using the theory of information and cognitive psychology, this paper put forward the standard of traffic sign information amounts, got the overload threshold of the traffic sign information by experiment method, set up the mathematical model of traffic sign information density threshold of the highway section, and provided the reference of traffic sign information density overload threshold in different speed. The results show that: the overload threshold of the traffic sign information on a fixed spot is 6; when the limit speed is 60, 80 and 100 km/h, the information density overload thresholds of the traffic sign are 30, 22 and 18 per kilometer respectively. 3 tabs, 8 figs, 10 refs.
