Abstract:
In order to study the slope stability in rainfall, explore the process of rainfall infiltration in loess embankment, an artificial simulation of rainfall device and embankment geotechnical model were developed. With test of wetting peak and infiltration rate at the different conditions on the loess road slope, this paper studied the sensitivity of loess slope stability to raining time and raining intensity, and the infiltration rate of the loess embankment in rainfall. The result shows that: the infiltration rate at the beginning is fast, but is slow at the end of raining, the wetting peak will change from regular to irregular; the infiltration rate is independent on raining intensity, but it has inverse relation with initial water content of slope, subgrade compaction and raining time. 1 tab, 7 figs, 10 refs.
