Abstract:
In order to study the atomization quality of biodiesel and biodiesel/diesel blend fuel, on the basis of atomization quality evaluation theory for fuel, the comparison among biodiesel/diesel blend fuel was analyzed by using high resolving power digital camera. This paper calculated the cone angle of the sprays, droplet size number distribution of the sprays, cumulative droplet size distribution based on volume, mean diameter, representative diameter and dispersion boundary. Results indicate that when biodiesel mixed ratio increases, cone angles decrease, mean diameters of the fuel droplet of the sprays increase, curves of fuel droplet size number distribution and cumulative droplet size distribution based on volume move toward larger diameters, dispersion boundary reduces. The number of large fuel droplets increases and dispersed degree reduces. It shows that the higher the biodiesel mixed ratio is, the worse the spray quality is. 5 tabs, 4 figs, 6 refs.
