Abstract:
The interactive highway CAD system based on geometry model and calculation model cannot finish highway alignment selection. The authors introduced spatial data mining technology based on GIS and intelligent evolutionary algorithm which is genetic algorithms (GA) to highway alignment design. In order to gather the information of environment, alignment knowledge base model has been built to mine spatial data based on component object model (COM) and GIS. The highway alignment optimum model based on GA has been build. By determining the genetic evolution strategy and operator and evaluating the highway alignment based on environment knowledge, the optimal route has been selected. Based on these models, the authors explore highway intelligent alignment selection system. Results show that the system algorithms has the characters of global search, selfadaption and fast convergence. The optimal route can harmonize the factors, such as terrain, geology, ecology and safety and can be treated as the original project of interactive design. 8 figs, 12 refs.
