Abstract:
In order to increase the illumination of tunnel pavement, through appending glass bead into OGFC mixes owing to the retroreflective performance of glass bead, this paper analyzed the influence on pavement performance when different rates and diameter glass bead appended into OGFC mixes, and put forward the optimal appending proportion and diameter of glass bead into OGFC. The test results show that Marshall stability is slightly lower than those without glass bead, and the performances of resistance of rutting, antiskidding, noisereduction and retroreflective performance relate to the coverage rate of glass bead; the specifications of pavement performance could be meet by 10%~15% quantity and 2~3 mm diameter of glass bead mixed to OGFC13. 4 tabs, 9 figs, 11 refs.
