Abstract:
The rapid development of highway transportation and energy systems increasingly strengthened the coupling between them. To study the coupling model and identify the key nodes within the systems, key elements such as service areas, bridges, tunnels, and toll stations in highways were first abstracted into nodes based on complex network theory, and models for the highway traffic network and the energy network were established. Secondly, considering the coupling mechanism between the highway traffic network and the energy network, the coupling model of the two networks was established using the correlation coefficient method and the correlation matrix method. Thirdly, an evaluation index system for the importance of nodes in the highway traffic network and the energy network was constructed. The importance evaluation results of the coupling nodes were obtained by using the subjective and objective weighting-TOPSIS method and the coupling scale between the two networks. Finally, the model was validated using a domestic highway network.The results show that when either the highway traffic network or the energy network is considered alone, the key nodes affecting the coupling nodes are not accurately identified. However, by using the coupling scale, the influence of both networks on the coupling nodes can be considered simultaneously, making the identification of key nodes more accurate. Compared to the traditional K-shell method for identifying key nodes, the key nodes selected based on the coupling model of the two networks are found to be more applicable to practical situations. The rationality of the model and the method for evaluating the importance of coupling nodes proposed in this paper is validated. This method can be used as a reference for quickly and effectively improving the reliability of the highway transportation-energy coupling network and constructing the core backbone network of the highway transportation-energy system.10 tabs, 11 figs, 36 refs.
