Abstract:
Aiming at the problem of frequent accidents at the entrance of cross-river and cross-seatunnel, an improvement strategy was proposed based on self-luminous road markings. Thevisual recognition performance of self-luminous road markings in different light environmentswas studied by real vehicle experiments, so as to verify the feasibility of replacing the ordinaryroad markings with self-luminous road markings, and to study the difference caused by differentbrightness and color. A three-dimensional scene of the entrance section of the cross-river andcross-sea tunnel was constructed to conduct driving simulation experiments, and the drivingbehavior and subjective feelings of drivers in different scenes were analyzed, so as to verify theapplication effect of setting the self-luminous road markings at the entrance section of thecross-river and cross-sea tunnel. The results show that when the ambientilluminance is greater than 50 000 lx, compared with 280 and 2 500 cd/m2, the self-luminousroad markings with a brightness of 1 500 cd/m2 have the best visual recognition performance, andits average visual recognition distance is close to that of ordinary road markings, up to 89 m. Compared to yellow and white, orange self-luminous road markings are better in terms ofvisibility and comfort. When the ambient illuminance is less than 100 lx, the self-luminous roadmarkings of different colors and brightness can increase the visual recognition distance by morethan 20 m compared with ordinary road markings. In addition, brightness has a significant effecton comfort, brightness of 280 cd/m2 performs best, color has no significant effect on comfort.Compared with the ordinary road markings scene,the lane keeping performance of the vehicle in the self-luminous road markings scene is better,and the driving speed is reduced by 5 to 20 km/h. Through the advance warning ofself-luminous road markings, the driver's braking frequency, maximum braking force andcontinuous distance are reduced, and the driver's subjective feeling of tension and operationdifficulty are reduced. The application of self-luminous road markings has a good effect on thesafety improvement at the entrance of the cross-river and cross-sea tunnel. The results of thisstudy can provide reference for luminance setting and application design of self-luminous roadmarkings or similar ground luminescence facilities.2 tabs, 15 figs, 27 refs.
