- Abstract:
- To investigate the influence of blockages with different types on the permeability of permeable pavement in sponge city,the typical urban roads (expressway, main road, secondary road, branch road, sidewalk, parking lot) were selected, and a series of blockages were collected separately based on Xian. Then they were divided into four categories, the particle size distribution of blockages with different types were obtained through sieve experiment, and it were prepared in the same proportion indoors. Two types of permeable asphalt mixture (PAM) and three types of permeable cement concrete (PCC) structure were adapted to investigate the influence of different blockages on the attenuation of permeable pavement with different structures using selfdeveloped permeability coefficient testing device. Then the nonlinear relationship models of the quality of blockages with different types and the residual rate of seepage were established. The results show that the clogging process of permeable pavement has experienced three stages, which includes rapid clogging, partial clogging and recovery, and progressive clogging. Moreover, the attenuation effects of the blockages in four places on the permeable pavement is as follows expressway and main road, sidewalk, secondary road, branch road, parking lot, indicating that the permeable pavement more likely to be clogged by the blockages in parking lot, and the corresponding particles size is 1.18 to 9.5mm. The permeability degradation rate of the singlelayer PAM structure under the same blockage is less than that of the doublelayer structure, and it is more sensitive to the type of blockages than the doublelayer structure, so it is recommended to use a doublelayer permeable asphalt pavement structure in areas where the types of blockages are more complex. Compared with PAM, PCC has a higher initial permeability coefficient and a slower initial decay rate, in the later stage, the decay rate will increase when the critical mass of the blockage is exceeded, indicating that close attention should be paid to the cleaning of the blockage in the later period of PCC. 5 tabs, 10 figs, 32 refs.
