- Abstract:
- In order to solve the problem that the strength of cement stabilized RAP mixture base layer mixed with lime soil was not applicable to the technical specifications for highway asphalt pavement recycling (JTG/T 5521—2019) in China, the 7 d unconfined compressive strength test was used to study the compressive strength of cementsoil stabilized RAP mixture at different temperatures. Based on the influence law of strength, the strength standard of cementsoil stabilized RAP base layer based on temperature domain was proposed. The influence of temperature on the amount of lime soil, cement dosage and coldrecycled mixture in the ageing period were analyzed, the strength standard of the material were analyzed, and the recommended value of the mix design of the cementsoil stabilized RAP mixture based on the temperature domain was proposed. The results show that the unconfined compressive strength of cementsoil stabilized RAP cold recycled mixture should be no less than 2.9 MPa for secondary and below roads, the unconfined compressive strength of cementsoil stabilized RAP mixture at different temperatures is similar, which show a decrease when RAP content increase, and the optimal RAP content is 70%. The unconfined compressive strength of the cement stabilized RAP mixture decrease with the increase of the amount of lime soil, and the reasonable dosage range of the lime soil is 0% to 40%. The addition of cement can significantly improve the mechanical strength of the cold recycled mixture, and its early strength increases greatly, but as the cement dosage increases, its reinforcing effect on the mechanical properties of the mixture is gradually weakened, so the cement dose should be controlled from 4.5% to 5.5%, the addition of lime soil has an adverse effect on the cold recycled mixture. With the addition of lime soil, the mechanical strength of the cold recycled mixture gradually decreases, and when the amount of lime soil is below 20%, the rate of strength reduction is small. As the amount of lime soil increases, the reduction rate of mechanical strength is greater. Therefore, the optimum dosage of lime soil is 10% to 20%, the strength of cementsoil stabilized cold recycled mixture is mainly formed in the early days, and the addition of lime soil is detrimental to the early strength of the cold recycled mix. 6 tabs, 12 figs, 27 refs.
