- Abstract:
- In order to study the influence of the fillerasphalt ratio on the highandlowtemperature performance of asphalt mortar, and change of highandlowtemperature properties of asphalt mortar after replacing some mineral powder with cement or hydrated lime, the Brookfield viscometer (RTV) was used to study the changes of RTV of asphalt mortar under different temperatures and fillerasphalt ratios, the complex shear modulus G*, phase angle δ, rutting factor G*/sin (δ) and other indicators of asphalt mortar under different conditions were tested, by using the dynamic shear rheometer (DSR) to study the rheological properties of asphalt mortar at high temperature, and the bending beam rheometer (BBR) was used to test the stiffness modulus S and creep rate m of asphalt mortars with different temperatures, fillerasphalt ratios and substitutions of cement or hydrated lime in order to study the lowtemperature rheological properties of different asphalt mortars, the lowtemperature coefficient λ=S/m was introduced to further evaluate the lowtemperature performance of asphalt mortar, so as to comprehensively study the effects of different fillerasphalt ratios and different cement or hydrated lime substitutions on the highandlowtemperature performance of asphalt mortar. The results show that increasing the fillerasphalt ratio can improve the hightemperature stability of asphalt mortar, reduce the temperature sensitivity of asphalt mortar, but also reduce the lowtemperature cracking resistance of asphalt mortar, the recommended reasonable fillerasphalt ratio range is 1.0 to 1.3. Replacing some of the mineral powder with hydrated lime or cement has the same effect, which can improve the hightemperature stability of asphalt mortar but decrease the lowtemperature performance. When using cement, it is recommended that the amount of cement should be 20% of the quality of mineral powder to obtain batter economy and effect. When adopting hydrated lime, it is suggested that the amount of hydrated lime should be 20% of the quality of mineral powder, so that it will not have a more adverse impact on the lowtemperature performance of asphalt mortar. If necessary, it should be determined according to the actual engineering situation. 9 tabs, 24 figs, 35 refs.
