Abstract:
To ensure a good adhesion force of the asphalt pavement interlayer and improve the integrity and durability, the special experiment was conducted to study the influencing factors on interlaminar bonding effect. Through forming double rutting plates and shearing tests on core samples, the influencing factors on interlaminar bonding effect, such as type of asphalt mixture and emulsified asphalt, spray volume of emulsified asphalt and temperature were analyzed by using a new interlayer shearing tester taking the maximum shear strength as the evaluation index. The results show that the bonding effect of AC is better than that of SMA and OGFC, modified emulsified asphalt is better than common emulsified asphalt and the emulsified asphalt has an optimal dosage, and the dosage for AC pavement structure is lower than framework structure. Also, the bonding effect has a trend of decreasing with temperature increasing. 6 tabs, 8 figs, 11 refs.
