Abstract:
The problems, that the concrete adhere to the centre axis easily, there is low efficient zone of mixing and the motion of material is not smooth, exist in the traditional twin-shaft mixer, so a new kind of concrete mixer named twin-screw-shaft mixer is developed to overcome those problems. The respective characteristic of the twin-shaft mixer and the twin-screw-shaft mixer are analyzed, their comparisions are carried out. The results show when the mixing time is 20s, the mixing concrete compressive strength of twin-screw-shaft mixer is higher than the one of twin-shaft-mixer with 30 s mixing time by 2.4%. Under the same mixing conditions, the average electric current of the twin-screw-shaft mixer is lower than the one of twin-spiral-shaft mixers by 6.9%. 2 tabs, 9 figs, 10 refs.
