Abstract:
In order to study the differentiation regularity of highway landform, according to the principles and methods of regionalization, the tectonic and slope were selected as the main index of first-order of landform regionalization for highway in China, and China was divided into 5 first-order landform districts. The difficulty index was selected as the leading index of second-order of landform regionalization. The calculated models for difficulty index was built based on the main influencing factors like altitude, slope, fragmentation degrees of earth's surface, type of rock and soil as well as vegetation characteristics. The grade of main influencing factors and their weight were put forwarded based on actual situation of highway engineering. The weight of main influencing factors was determined by expert system. The distribution of national difficulty index was analyzed by GIS. Based on the first-order regionalization and difficulty index, China was divided into 42 second-order landform districts. 3 tabs, 2 figs, 11 refs.
