Abstract:
All types of highway construction may be affected by natural environment significantly. In order to reveal the regional differentiation rules of natural environment and its effect on highway construction, highway comprehensive natural division is in great need. As for the actual situation of highway engineering, this paper selects surface morphology index which considers such factors as surface slope, altitude and the extent of surface fragmentation, to reflect the state of China's topography and its impact on highway construction. Based on the incommensurability principle in comprehensive evaluation theory, the formula of surface morphology index is established. According to the grade scale, score and weight of these calculation factors, basic maps of calculation elements are produced by using GIS. And the surface morphology index map is compiled by map superposition. Surface morphology index is one of the leading indicators for highway comprehensive natural division. The index provides a basis for the research and zoning of highway comprehensive natural division as well as the related divisions. 2 tabs, 2 figs, 21 refs.
