Abstract:
In order to develop an electronically controlled premixed CNG(Compressed Natural Gas)/diesel dual-fuel engine for meeting national Ⅲ emission regulations, the diesel fuel restriction system, CNG supply system and electronically controlled system were added on the original diesel engine, and performance tests of the dual-fuel engine were carried out. The comparisons between the dual-fuel engine and the diesel engine, fuel economy and emissions at load characteristics, and fuel economy, power output and emissions at external characteristics were investigated when the amount of pilot diesel fuel is kept constant. Online calibration was conducted by applying duel-fuel engine management system calibrating software. The emission experiments show that the dual-fuel engine can meet national Ⅲ emission regulations. 3 tabs, 10 figs, 6 refs.
