- Abstract:
- The disadvantage and solving ways of traditional crushed stone seal coat, used as waterproof binding material of bridge pavement, are analyzed. The characteristic of synchronous crushed stone is studied, its feasibility as waterproof binding course of synchronous crushed stone is discussed, its experimental scheme is designed. The optimum asphalt content and optimum macadam spreading volume for synchronous crushed stone are determined with 1.4 kg/m2 and 8.0 kg/m2 respectively by applying shear test and pull out test indoors. The road performance of synchronous crushed stone is tested. The results show that: the synchronous crushed stone is temperature sensitivity material, its tensile strength and shear strength decreases significantly with the increase of temperature; the single particle size aggregate is the most ideal aggregate for synchronous crushed stone; the bond behavior of SBS modified asphalt, used as binder of synchronous crushed stone, is superior, and the antiaging and watertightness performances are good; the synchronous crushed stone has good durability. 5 tabs, 10 figs, 8 refs.
