- Abstract:
- Regarding the lack of a durability evaluation system for pavement coating, the evaluation indices and requirements of the current standards were comprehensively investigated and summarized. The problems of durability evaluations of coatings present in the current standards were analyzed. The environment and vehicle load were selected as the main influencing factors, which cleared the composition and classification of a single indicator. Through a reasonable combination and matching analysis of different single factors, a comprehensive evaluation index of the road coating durability under composite working conditions was determined. Combined with the evaluation indices and corresponding methods of the existing coating properties in China, durability evaluation test methods for road coating materials 〖HJ〗under single and composite working conditions were proposed. Based on the performance parameters and test results of the coatings, the durability evaluation indexlimits of the road coatings and the corresponding evaluation scope were determined. Finally, a method for the road coating materials and the complete durability evaluation index system and a method for the road coating materials were established. The durability evaluation indices proposed were used to comprehensively evaluate and study the durability of the road coating materials. The results show that the road coating durability evaluation indexsystem matches well with the practical application environment of the road coating material. An indoor simulation and a comprehensive evaluation of the durability of the road coatings in complex application environments provided reasonable test methods. The durability evaluation results obtained using relevant evaluation indicators and methods are basically consistent with the physical engineering application results, indicating that the durability evaluation indicators and methods can provide a scientific and objective basis for a durability evaluation of existing road coating applications. 8 tabs, 20 refs.
